November 10-14, 2015: ERAS Customs & Classics, a division of Al-Futtaim Auto Centers showcased 3 amazing new models for the first time in the middle East at the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show; The Morgan AERO8, Lotus Evora 400 and Noble M600 Carbon Sport. The stand at the exhibition featured these unique British car brands as well as the Caterham Seven 360.
The 2015 Morgan Aero 8 recently launched at the Geneva Motor show, 15 years since the launch of the original Aero Eight. Significant visual and mechanical changes make the 5th generation of this iconic model the most refined Morgan Aero product to date and is not available for pre order in the Middle East. This is the most refined Aero product to date, is a fitting evolution of Morgan’s most technologically advanced range of vehicles. The Aero 8 will enter production in Q4 2015 with limited production numbers available. Morgan tailors every car to align with the customer’s personal vision. With infinite combinations of paint, leather and a vast array of detail choices, every Aero built will be a one-off.
The much awaited Lotus Evora 400 is now available for sale in this region. The Lotus Evora 400 is faster and dynamically more capable leading to greater agility and a more involving drive. Maximum speed is 300 km/h (186 mph) and acceleration is just 0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds (0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds). Over two thirds of the Lotus Evora 400 is new, including its supercharged and charge-cooled mid-mounted 3.5-litre V6 engine producing 400 horsepower and 410 Nm of torque. A new aluminium chassis incorporates a new interior and the lightweight composite body has changed significantly both front and rear. The new Lotus Evora 400 is the latest pure and focused supercar from Lotus, combining high performance with the legendary Lotus benchmark handling.
Another of its kind, the Noble M600 carbon sport models created quite a buzz amongst car enthusiasts at the show. The Noble M600 is not just fast in a straight line, Powered by a Twin-Turbo 4.4l V8 engine that produces 650hp @ 6800rpm, 604 ib/ft of torque @ 3800rpm, Kerb weight of just 1230kg thanks to an all Carbon Fibre body, 0-60mph time of 2.9s and 0-100mph in 6.5s makes it a world beating handling and performance car, as proven at the 2015 ‘Goodwood Festival of Speed’ Supercar Speed Trial. Built by hand in Leicester, UK, the Carbon Sport model offers the car in completely exposed Carbon Fibre, coated in either a clear or coloured lacquer. The car can appear painted yet, up close, the beautiful, intricate, flawless weave of the Carbon Fibre is clear for all to see.
The Caterham Seven 360 has its own charm, the 360 is all about the thrill of driving a car that embodies Colin Chapman’s original philosophy of a car that is truly “fit for purpose”. Powered by the 2-litre Ford Duratec engine that also propels Caterham’s top-tier R300 racing cars. The Seven 360 has been refined to encompass many of the engineering developments and upgrades obtained from experience of the various race models within the Caterham Motorsport series. With a limited slip differential and race inspired suspension, an increased rev limit and a tad more power, the Seven 360 is a phenomenal package.
